The Big Red Building

If these lath and plaster walls could talk…

One55elm was found on maps as early as 1908, when it was built to be a Nazarene Church. (We haven’t been able to get an exact year…) Over the past century+, it has evolved from church to private residence, fabulous antique store, and more.

The Geiger family purchased one55elm in June 2018. They have been renovating and opening their doors for events, markets, and other community gatherings ever since. The location — just a stone's throw from the Port of Kalama Marine Park, all downtown amenities and McMenamin's Harbor Lodge makes it the perfect destination for anything going on around town. Here's to another hundred years!

Kalama

A small town with big views

Kalama is nestled along the Columbia River between 2 of the country's greatest cities: Seattle and Portland. Home to several well known antique markets, it is a perfect destination for an afternoon drive or a cozy weekend getaway. With several very popular tourist destinations an easy drive away; (Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, Columbia River Gorge, etc) there are more views and outdoor activities than there are hours in the day. But we're personally biased toward our local gatherings: Woodland Tulip Festival, Gouger Winery, Longview Squirrel Fest and an endless list of year-round fairs, festivals and parades. Stop in off the I-5. And stay awhile!
